Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (FSNEP)

Our FSNEP program helps food stamp recipients improve skills related to selecting, purchasing, and preparing low-cost, well-balanced, nutritious meals for themselves and their families. The objectives of FSNEP are to improve self-sufficiency of food stamp recipients; decrease reliance on emergency food resources; increase skills in food budgeting and meal planning; improve dietary parcties of the entire family; increase consumption of fruits and vegetables; increase variety of food choices; and improve knowledge of safe food practices.

FSNEP is a program that helps families:
¨ Learn to prepare tasty, low-cost meals
¨ Learn shortcuts to use when buying food
¨ Learn how to handle and store food safely
¨ Make healthier food choices
