Volunteer Opportunities with County Extension
Bill Hollins is Cooperative Extensions' 2001 Volunteer of the Year!
Bill exhibits exemplary leadership, energy, initiative and concern for the Sacramento community. Combining his eagerness to serve with a quiet and unassuming manner has made him an extraordinary Master Gardener.
Since 1995, Bill has volunteered over 1,400 hours providing horticulture information to the community at plant clinics, on the telephone hotline and by leading workshops at the Fair Oaks Horticulture Center.
His dedication to the protection of the region’s waterways motivated him to become part of the Water Wise Pest Control Program. He advises residents on how to manage pests with less and non-toxic methods, thus eliminating toxic materials from flowing into our creeks and rivers.
Bill Hollins is a devoted Master Gardener who has earned the admiration, respect and gratitude of all whom has come in contact with.
